BOONE, N.C. - App State men's tennis prepares for three matches in three days, beginning with Presbyterian on Friday at 1 p.m. in Clinton, S.C. The Mountaineers will then host back-to-back contests against UNCA on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Winthrop on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Scouting Presbyterian
The Blue Hose are 2-6 on the season coming off a narrow loss to Belmont, 4-3, last Saturday. Both of PC's wins came in 7-0 victories against Belmont Abbey earlier this season. Friday's opponent is 25-23 in singles with Oscar Alvarez posting a 5-1 mark. He is one of seven players with at least three singles victories. Max Benson/Nicholas McKinney is 6-0, leading a doubles attack that is 13-9 on the season.
Scouting UNCA
The Bulldogs are 2-4 with three consecutive losses following their 6-1 loss to Chattanooga. UNC and App have played two common opponents in the Mocs and Lipscomb. Leo Bierbaum is 4-1 while Harry Thursfield is 3-3 in singles. Three tandems for the Bulldogs have one victory in doubles.
Scouting Winthrop
The Eagles have yet to win a match this season with a 0-7 record after back-to-back 5-2 losses against UNCG and Coastal Carolina, respectively. Abhi Vannemreddy is 4-1 to lead the team in singles wins as the No. 1 in the lineup. James Hartson and Vannemreddy are 2-1, while Lluis Miralles/Miha Velicki also have a pair of victories.

App State will have a string of six straight matches away from Boone, starting with UNCG next Friday at 2 p.m. in Greensboro.
