BOONE, N.C. — Week 12 of the NFL season included another matchup involving App State teammates.
The Cleveland Browns edged the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-25, with Doug Middleton making two special teams tackles for the Jaguars and Kendall Lamm playing snaps at offensive tackle.
Middleton appeared at safety in the game and also participated in 62 percent of the special teams plays. In addition to contributing on offense, Lamm also blocked in field goal/extra point situations.
Middleton has played in five games this season for Jacksonville, while Lamm has seen the field in 11 of Cleveland's games.
Tae Hayes, CB, Minnesota Vikings
On Wednesday, the Vikings signed Hayes to their practice squad. He was recently released by the Miami Dolphins after appearing in three games this season and five over the last two seasons.
Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Cincinnati Bengals
Davis-Gaither made two tackles and broke up a third-down pass for the Bengals in a 19-17 loss to the New York Giants. He played on defense and was in on two-thirds of Cincinnati's special teams plays.
Davis-Gaither has 18 tackles (12 solo), two passes defended and 0.5 sacks through 11 games.
Sam Martin, P, Denver Broncos
With Denver missing all of its full-time quarterbacks, Martin averaged 47.4 yards on seven punts and produced a long kick of 55 yards in a 31-3 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Daniel Kilgore, C, Kansas City Chiefs
Kilgore was active but did not play in a 27-24 win against Tampa Bay.
Darrynton Evans, RB, Tennessee Titans
Evans has returned to practice for the Titans since a hamstring injury pushed him onto the injured reserve list earlier in the season.
Josh Thomas, DB, Buffalo Bills
Thomas has appeared in two games and made one tackle for the division-leading Bills.
Ronald Blair, DE, San Francisco 49ers
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Blair will likely spend the entire season on the physically unable to perform list for the 49ers.
Colby Gossett, OG, Cleveland Browns
Gossett, a member of the Browns' practice squad, has opted out of this season.
