App State capitalized on all six red-zone trips, with five touchdowns and a field goal.

JJ Kohl improved to 2-0 as App State's starting QB, throwing for 309 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions on 21-of-32 passing in three quarters of play. The Mountaineers have now had two different signal-callers throw for 300 yards in a game this season.

Kohl distributed the ball to 10 different receivers and threw touchdowns to four different teammates.

Izayah Cummings caught a team-high six passes for a career-high 94 yards and his first touchdown as a Mountaineer.

Davion Dozier picked right back up from where they left after the Oregon State game, connecting on a 12-yard touchdown for the game's first score. Dozier finished with two grabs for 30 yards.

Jaden Barnes had two catches for 13 yards and a team-leading fourth touchdown catch of the season.
Dalton Stroman snagged his third touchdown catch of the year.

Jaquari Lewis scored his third rushing touchdown of the season and led the team with 14 attempts and 57 yards. Starter
Rashod Dubinion rushed for 56 yards on 12 attempts and added a 25-yard reception.

For the fourth time in six games, the Mountaineer defense held its opponent under 100 rushing yards (54).

Colton Phares had four tackles, a TFL and an interception on Georgia State's first drive of the second half that led to a Mountaineer touchdown. It was Phares' second straight game with a pick.

DeNigel Cooper blocked Georgia State's 28-yard field goal attempt to maintain a scoreless tie in the first quarter. It was the Mountaineers' first field goal block since 2021.
Dominic De Freitas drilled two field goals, including a 46-yarder that gave him his fourth make of 45-plus yards this season.
