Madi Story and 
Anna Perez Gomez for their commitment. Story became the 25th member of the 1,000-point club earlier this season with a season-high 28 points against Wofford. Perez Gomez is the first international recruit 
that head coach

Lainey Gosnell, the Apps improved to 14-12 and 8-7 in league play with a low-scoring 56-51 win over ULM. Gosnell shot 10-of-19 from the field and added five boards. 
Bayley Plummer snagged a game-high 17 rebounds while blocking three shots. App used a 9-0 run while down 34-30 to take a commanding lead. Gosnell hit a pair of 3-pointers while 
Tierra Wilson canned a trifecta that aided in the surge. 
What to Watch for
- Over the last two wins, Appalachian's defense has held Georgia Southern and ULM to 51.5 points per game on just 33.9 percent shooting from the field. Watch if the defense can continue its solid play. 
- After scoring a career-high 26 points, 
Lainey Gosnell is averaging 16.8 over the past four games on a stellar 54.3 percent shooting from the floor. She is also shooting 40.9 percent from beyond the arc and 80 percent from the free throw line. See if the sophomore can stay hot on offense. 
- In the first matchup against Louisiana, Ty'Reona Doucet scored 28 points with 16 rebounds. Watch if App can contain Doucet on Saturday. 
- Opponents are averaging 18.2 points per game off of turnovers in Louisiana's 10 losses during conference play. Watch if the Mountaineers can turn over the Ragin' Cajuns for easy baskets. 
- In the first game against Louisiana, App shot just 9-for-20 from the free throw line. The Apps shot 12-of-14 from the charity stripe on Thursday. See if the Black and Gold can execute at the line. 
Scouting Louisiana
- Louisiana has fallen in its previous two games after a 67-62 setback at Coastal Carolina. 
- Jomyra Mathis scored a team-high 13 points with five rebounds.
- Brandi Williams and Kendall Bass also scored 12 points to round out the leading scorers. 
- Ty'Reona Doucet leads the team in scoring (13.5 ppg) and rebounding (9.0 rpg). 
- Doucet's 55 percent shooting clip is third in the conference during Sun Belt play. 
- She is also ninth in rebounding and 18th in scoring. 
- Louisiana is one of the top three-point defensive teams. The Ragin' Cajuns are third allowing opponents to shoot just 32.1 percent from deep. 
- UL is shooting 73.7 percent from the charity stripe, which is third in the league in conference play. 
Series History
Louisiana has a 5-2 edge after defeating Appalachian in the first matchup, 73-55. App State is 2-1 however at home against the Ragin' Cajuns and will look to snap a three-game slide against Louisiana. 
What's Next
App State will close out the regular season next week in Alabama. The Apps will start the road trip on Thursday at Troy for a 7 p.m. tip.
