BOONE, N.C. - The solid fall for App State men's tennis continued at the Furman Duals this weekend in Greenville, S.C.
The Mountaineers posted 21 wins against Winthrop, UNCG and the hosts, with 15 singles wins and six doubles victories. Appalachian
finished with a 15-7 mark in singles and a 6-3 record in doubles action. It's the second straight fall tournament the
Mountaineers have won at least 20 matches in singles and doubles.
On the first day of the event, Appalachian tallied a doubles win against Furman, while later capturing six of eight singles contests against
UNCG. The Mountaineers also swept their singles matches against Winthrop and claimed two of three doubles contests versus the Spartans.
App State claimed three singles wins against Furman and swept the Eagles in doubles on day two, finishing with an unblemished mark against
Winthrop over the weekend.
