BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's soccer will play a pair of matches this weekend in Virginia to open the 2017 season. App will play Old Dominion on Friday evening at 7 p.m. before making the trek to Richmond, Va. for a 7 p.m. match against VCU.

ODU finished 6-9-2 overall in 2016 while owning a 2-5-1 mark in C-USA play, and won four of their six matches on their home turf. ODU's Niko Klosterhalfen returns as the leading goal getter with four scores, while Jesse Miralrio is right behind with three goals.
