About the Mountaineers

Last Time Out
The Apps couldn't overcome 32 turnovers on top of a hot-shooting NC A&T squad in a 81-56 setback on Tuesday. The Aggies shot 50 percent (10-20) and 44 percent from the field, both of which were season highs for the hosts. Kaila Craven scored a team-high 14 points in the setback and LaPresha Stanley turned in a career-best 12 points on 5-for-6 shooting from the floor. Lainey Gosnell grabbed a personal-high 10 rebounds in her second straight start.

What to Watch For
Craven is averaging 14.5 points per game over the past two games shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from beyond the arc. She's averaging more points on the road (10.6 ppg) for her career (8.9 overall) than at home. See if Craven can light up the Cougars on Sunday.
CofC is allowing 17.2 offensive rebounds per game through five contests, while App has been averaging just 11 off the glass on the offensive end. See if the Mountaineers crash the boards for second-chance points.
• App State's bench averaged 22.3 points per game over the previous three contests with at least one player scoring in double figures over the same stretch.  Anticipate on the Black and Gold reserves giving the same production on Sunday.
• CofC's defense has allowed opponents to make an average of eight 3-pointers per game, and App has hit an average of five per contest. See if the likes of Nicola Mathews, Gosnell, Tierra Wilson and  Craven can get it going from beyond the arc.
• The Mountaineer defense allowed their second-most points per possession (GT - 1.087)  at North Carolina A&T allowing 0.942. Anticipate on the Apps turning up the notch defensively against a Cougar squad that averages just 57.8 points per game.
