Box Score CONWAY, S.C. - Appalachian State University men's soccer (5-7-5, 0-2-2 SBC) suffered a 4-0 decision to No. 24 Coastal Carolina (8-6-1, 2-1-0 SBC) on Saturday afternoon at CCU Soccer Stadium.
Frantzdy Pierrot did most of the damage for the hosts with three goals, while Yazeed Mathews tallied one score for the hosts. Appalachian mustered two shots on goal thanks to
Raheem Somersall and
Parker Washburn.
CCU scored twice in both halves with the first goal coming within the first eight minutes of the match and never looked back.
Jake Agnew captured his fourth start of the season playing in 69 minutes, and
Mitch Kilmer saw his first action of the season playing in the final 21 minutes of the match, coming up with one save.
The Mountaineers will look to bounce back in their regular season finale next Saturday, Nov. 4 against archrival Georgia Southern for Senior Day at 7 p.m. Seniors
