RALEIGH, N.C. – Stanley Broaden took sixth in the 400-meter hurdles and Appalachian State University men's track and field grabbed six top-10 finishes at the Raleigh Relays over the weekend.
Elsewhere in the competition, Michael Ellis set a new personal record and finished 10th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:14.53. The time also moved Ellis into ninth all-time in school history.
Henry Bustle finished eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 47-8 (14.53 meters) while the Mountaineers' 4x800-meter relay team finished sixth in a time of 7:47.64.
Evan Laratta also set a personal record in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:33.09 and Appalachian's sprint medley relay team took fourth with a time of 3:29.91.
The Mountaineers return to action next weekend when they head to High Point for the annual VertKlassee Meet.
