DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Appalachian State University Tennis snapped a four-match skid on Wednesday, defeating Bethune-Cookman University 7-0.
Appalachian cruised to a doubles point behind wins from No.1 team, Jan-Willem Kleynhans and Zach Bost, and No. 2 team, Scott Webster and Jack Maddocks.
Oliver Casey topped Alexander Chepik 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles match. In the No. 2 match Maddocks fought past Walid Gtari 6-4,6-4.
Webster and Bost eased to victory at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots. Kleynhans won 6-3, 6-2 over Gilbert Rotich. Trey Morris wrapped up the Mountaineers' day with a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the No. 6 spot.
The Mountaineers will be back on the courts at home versus Georgia Southern on Mar. 17th.
