Bradley Fey

Bradley Fey is set to begin his seventh season at App State and his third season as an assistant coach in 2025-26.

Alongside his role as an assistant coach, Fey handles the day-to-day operations for the program.

Fey has yet to be a part of a losing season at App State. In his first six years, he has been a part of 114 wins, which is the most at App State over a six-year span in the Division I era. 

In 2024-25, Fey's sixth season at App State, the Mountaineers posted 17 wins, which included 10 wins in Sun Belt play for the second straight season. Fey has been a part of 65 wins in league play since his first season in 2019, which is the most of any team in the Sun Belt. 

The Mountaineers were once again one of the nation's best defensive teams in the country in Fey's sixth year with the program as App State finished with the Sun Belt's best scoring defense for the fourth straight season. App State has yet to finish outside of the top two in the Sun Belt in scoring defense since Fey got to Boone. Additionally, the Mountaineers closed the 2024-25 campaign with top-10 national marks in field-goal percentage defense (ninth), fouls per game (sixth) and 3-point field-goal percentage defense (eighth). 

Fey's fifth season with App State in 2023-24 saw the team reach new heights as the Mountaineers won their first outright regular-season conference championship since 1978-79, recorded an undefeated home record for the first time in the Division I era, secured a program-record 27 wins and played in the NIT for the first time since 2006-07. It was the third postseason appearance that Fey has been a part of in his tenure. 

During his fourth season, Fey's work contributed to back-to-back 10-win seasons at home and a win over Louisville, the first Power Five win for App State since 2014. The Mountaineers also showcased the best scoring defense in the Sun Belt in 2022-23. 

In 2021-22, Fey helped the Mountaineers to their third consecutive winning season.The Mountaineers went 19-15, and finished second place in the Sun Belt with 12 wins, the second-most conference wins in the Sun Belt era. 

In his second season in 2020-21, the Mountaineers won four games in four days to win the program's first ever Sun Belt Tournament title. The tournament championship allowed App State to punch its ticket to the NCAA Tournament, which marked the third time the program has done so and first time since 2000.

In Fey's first season at App State, the Mountaineers recorded 18 victories, which was the most for the program since the 2009-10 season. App State also posted 11 Sun Belt wins.

He joins the Mountaineers after serving as the director of basketball operations at Presbyterian in the 2018-19 season.

Prior to Presbyterian, Fey served as a graduate assistant at Jacksonville University for two seasons, assisting with all aspects of basketball operations.

Fey was a four-year standout at DePauw University, playing in 89 games during his four seasons. As a junior in 2014-15, he helped the Tigers capture the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament title and earn a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Fey graduated from DePauw in 2016 with a degree in sociology and earned his master's in educational leadership from Jacksonville in 2018.
