Biography

2007: Saw action in six games as a true freshman ... made one start in right field ... had an incredible series in opening-weekend sweep of Coppin State (Feb. 17-18) ... playing just miles from his hometown of Concord in Kannapolis, N.C., Faggart had five hits in 10 at-bats, drove in nine runs and scored five more against the Eagles ... drove in multiple runs in all three games, including four in just two at-bats off the bench in season opener ... hit only home run of the season in game two ... went 2-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs in only starts of the season in series finale ... made just two more plate appearances on the season, getting hit by a pitch and striking out at nationally ranked Florida State (Feb. 25) ... was a defensive replacement in the outfield against North Carolina A&T (Feb. 28) and Wake Forest (April 25).

High School: A two-sport star, lettering three times in both baseball and football ... an all-conference and all-area performer in both sports ... teamed with current ASU teammates Jerod Faggart and Nick Daniels to lead Northwest Cabarrus to 3-A state championship series as a junior ... coached by Joe Hubbard ... threw for 1,300 yards and 19 touchdowns in just seven gridiron contests as a senior before season was cut short due to injury.
