Biography

2016: Finished fourth on the team, batting .246 for the year (fourth on team) in 47 games (started all of them) … the Mountaineers’ main fireman, also pitched 15.0 innings for a 6.00 ERA and five saves (good for tied-seventh in the Sun Belt) … struck out 20 batters on the year … led the team in stolen bases going 7-7 second on the team with 25 runs scored … finished with 42 hits (fourth on team), 18 RBI (fifth)… posted multi-hit efforts in 13 games including a season-high 4-5 against Arkansas State (April 30) … batted multiple runners around against UL Monroe (March 25), Little Rock (April 3), Troy (April 9), eventual NCAA College State Regional participant Wake Forest (April 26), Arkansas State (April 30) and Longwood (May 21) … struck out four batters to get the save against eventual NCAA Tallahassee Regional participant South Alabama (April 17) … sat multiple batters down in six games, including three straight against Little Rock (April 3), Troy (April 9) and South Alabama (April 17) … allowed less than two hits in 11 of 14 appearances on the mound.

2015: Appeared in 28 games in the field (24 starts) and four on the mound (one start) as a sophomore … made 23 of his 24 position starts in center field (one in RF) … tied for the team lead with three outfield assists … tied for third on the team with four stolen bases (in five attempts) … recorded multiple hits seven times in 24 games … seven multi-hit games were tied for sixth on the team (and tied for most among 2016 returnees) … reached base four times (two hits, two walks) and scored two runs in win at North Carolina A&T (April 1) … doubled and reached base three times (two walks) at South Carolina (April 7) … doubled and drove in two runs in win at eventual regular-season Sun Belt champion South Alabama (April 11) … went 2-for-5 with a triple, sacrifice bunt and RBI in wild 15-13 loss to Georgia State (April 18) … went 2-for-4 with double, RBI and two runs scored at Western Carolina (April 21) … went 2-for-2 with sacrifice bunt in win at Arkansas State (April 25) … had four hits and three RBI in two games against eventual NCAA Super Regional participant UL Lafayette (May 2-3) … struck out five in five innings on the mound, including four punch outs in three innings against Canisius (Feb. 21) … allowed at least one hit and one run in all four appearances

2014: Saw action in 29 games as a true freshman with 16 starts … all 16 of his starts came in the outfield (11 in right, three in center, two in left) … made just six starts over the first three months of the season but became a regular in the lineup when the calendar flipped to May, starting 10 of the final 11 games of the campaign … hit just .192 for the season (14-for-73) but nine of his 14 hits came in his 10 starts in May … six of the nine runs he scored on the season and all five of his RBI also came in the final month of the campaign … recorded two two-hit games (May 9 at Samford, May 13 at ETSU) … was 2-for-7 with an RBI, walk and stolen base in three Southern Conference Tournament games … made two appearances on the mound (April 23 vs. Gardner-Webb, April 27 vs. Davidson) … worked a scoreless inning in each appearance … struck out two in 1.0 IP vs. GWU … tossed a perfect frame against Davidson.
