Biography

2015: Started in 47 of his 50 game appearances, playing primarily left field ... Batted .301 (third on the team) with 58 hits, 28 runs scored, eight doubles, three home runs and 12 RBIs ... Hit from the leadoff spot in a team-high 32 games ... Started in left field 42 times, in right field three times and in center field two times ... Had 15 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-5 effort against High Point ... Had a 10-game hitting streak and reached base safely in 17 straight games ... Hit a tiebreaking, third-inning homer to cap the scoring in a 2-1 home win that snapped Louisiana's seven-game winning streak ... Also homered in a 9-7 win against No. 16 Maryland.

2014: Saw action in five early-season games before being shut down due to a back injury … went 1-for-4 in first start of the season versus Michigan (March 1) … came off the bench to hit a solo home run against Notre Dame (March 2) … went 1-for-3 in start versus Campbell (March 5) … granted a medical redshirt by NCAA and retained the season of eligibility.

2013: Appeared in 41 games with 30 starts in left field ... hit .187 on the season ... hit .316 (6-for-19) through first five games of the season, including a season-best 3-for-4 effort with two doubles, a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base against Butler (Feb. 24) ... had just 17 hits in final 104 at-bats of the season (.163) ... had two multi-hit performances in first five games of the season but just one over final 36 contests (2-for-4 at College of Charleston on March 23) ... despite his struggles at the plate, Appalachian State was 19-11 in games he started ... recorded two outfield assists from left field.
