: Began the season in a platoon with right-hander Brett Stewart at first base but played himself into the full-time starting position as the season went on ... appeared in 54 games, including 46 starts (all at 1B) ... seven home runs tied for second on the squad ... power came in bunches, however, as all seven homers came during a three-game span early in the season (two vs. UNC Greensboro on March 22, one the following day vs. UNCG and one against High Point on March 25) and a five-game stretch to close out the campaign (one on the final day of the regular season at Wofford and one in each of the final two games at the SoCon Tournament vs. Western Carolina and Furman) ... was 4-for-9 (.444) on the season with the bases loaded ... sported one of the conference’s top gloves at first base, making only five errors in 441 chances (.989 pct.) ... struggled to a .179 batting average through nine games but broke out of the slump in a big way with a 4-for-4, three-RBI, three-run performance against Quinnipiac (March 9) ... combined to go 7-for-11 with seven RBI and five runs scored during the stretch of three-consecutive games with homers from March 22-25 ... went 4-for-4 with a double, four RBI and two runs in the middle game of a three-game sweep over first-place Furman (May 10) ... the 4-for-4 performance started a season-best nine-game hitting streak to close the campaign ... named academic all-SoCon for his prowess on the field and in the classroom.

: Spent the majority of freshman campaign as starting first baseman ... saw action in 46 games, making 40 starts at 1B ... was limited in the latter part of the season by a wrist injury ... showed a tremendous eye at the plate, walking 30 times, second on the squad only to leadoff hitter Jason Altenhof ... greatest value may have been defensive prowess, as he put together a team-best .997 fielding percentage on the season (one error in 364 chances) ... walked four times and scored twice versus Coppin State (Feb. 17) ... torched Dayton in 20-2 victory (March 3), going a season-best 4-for-6 with a home run and seven RBI, the highest total by a Mountaineer all season ... went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI to help complete three-game sweep of Fairleigh Dickinson (March 11) ... scored season-high three runs in win over Wofford (March 23) ... went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in win at UNC Greensboro (May 18).
