BOONE, N.C. — App State Wrestling opens its SoCon schedule on the road Thursday with a 7 p.m. dual at Presbyterian.
The dual will be held on campus at the Templeton Center after App State's first two trips to face PC in South Carolina occurred at Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville in 2022 and at the Christian Life Center in Clinton in 2024.
The 2026 meeting will be
streamed on ESPN+.
The Mountaineers (3-4) earned a share of a SoCon regular season championship last year and have completed seven of their eight nonconference duals on the 2025-26 schedule. Presbyterian is 0-5 overall and 0-2 in SoCon duals, with a 21-20 loss to Campbell and a 21-9 loss to Davidson. Blue Hose seniors Ryan Luna (141 pounds), Reed Douglass (184) and Morvens Saint Jean (heavyweight) went 2-0 in those conference matchups.

JohnMark Bentley's direction, in the previous 11 seasons, App State's 73-7 conference record ranked No. 4 among the best league records in Division I wrestling, behind just Cornell, Penn State and Oklahoma State. The program has a national-best 19 dual shutouts since the calendar flipped to 2020, including two during the 2024-25 season.
The 2025-26 season is presented by Hungry Howie's and Penn Station. The Mountaineers open their SoCon schedule Thursday at Presbyterian.
