BOONE, N.C. - App State women's basketball coach
Alaura Sharp announced the addition of Emma Smith to the 2025-26 roster on Tuesday.

Smith will join the Mountaineers as a guard after spending three seasons at Denver. While with the Pioneers, Smith netted 1,066 points, averaging 12.0 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per contest, as well as 3.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game. Smith is a two-time Summit League All-Honorable Mention and 2022-23 Summit League All-Freshman Team honoree. Additionally, Smith was the Pioneers' team captain for the 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25 campaigns.
While at App State, Smith plans on pursuing a degree in professional studies. She has an identical twin and enjoys tennis, trying new coffee shops and restaurants, as well as hiking.
