ATLANTA, Ga. -- App State men's basketball is set to visit Georgia State for its 30th game of the season.

THE SERIES
- This will be the 21st meeting between the two schools in a series that is tied 10-10.
- The Mountaineers tied the series on Jan. 26 at home, defeating the Panthers, 71-59. App State never trailed, and Terence Harcum posted 21 points, five rebounds and four assists (7-10 FT). Xavion Brown earned a career-high eight rebounds in that contest.
- Georgia State beat App State in the second round of the 2022 SBC Tournament, 66-71.
- The season prior, the Mountaineers topped the Panthers, 80-71 in the SBC championship game.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS (15-14, 8-8 SBC)
- App State split its last weekend at home, topping Texas State, 82-75, before falling to Old Dominion, 63-74.
- App State has the best defense in the Sun Belt. The team paces the league in scoring defense (64.6, 44th in the nation) and field goal percentage defense (39.3%, 19th in the nation).
- Donovan Gregory leads the Black & Gold in points (12.4), assists (121) and steals (47).
- Harcum has stepped up during conference play, averaging 12.3 points in SBC games. The sophomore averages 2.2 3-pointers during conference games (4th in the SBC). Harcum leads the team in FT% (.849) and has scored in double figures in 10 of his last 11 games.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS (10-18, 3-13 SBC)
- Georgia State has dropped its last five games, all within 11 points against Sun Belt opponents (Southern Miss, Old Dominion, Marshall, Coastal Carolina and Arkansas State).
- The team's conference wins have come against South Alabama, Coastal Carolina and Georgia Southern.
- Five Panthers average in double figures, led by Dwon Odom (13.3). Odom has posted 20+ four times this season and leads his team in assists with 98.
- The Panthers pull down 11 offensive rebounds per game. Ja'Heim Hudson grabs a team-high 7.1 boards and has tallied three double-doubles this season.
