NORFOLK, Va. -- App State men's basketball will visit Sun Belt newcomer Old Dominion for the first time on Saturday at 7 p.m.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS (10-10, 3-4 SBC)
- App State fell in overtime against Coastal Carolina on Thursday, despite a career performance by Dibaji Walker, who scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
- The Mountaineers rank 41st in the nation in field goal percentage defense and lead the Sun Belt, holding their opponents to 40.2% shooting from the field.
- Donovan Gregory paces the team in points (12.1), assists (84) and steals (32). The senior posted 19 points, nine assists and four steals against the Chanticleers.
- CJ Huntley has stepped up his game since the turn of the calendar, averaging 9.4 points and 7.6 rebounds during conference games. The junior has grabbed at least six rebounds in 11 straight games.
SCOUTING THE MONARCHS (11-8, 3-4 SBC)
- Old Dominion found its way back into the win column after losses to Coastal Carolina and Marshall, defeating Georgia State on Thursday night, 70-58.
- Tyreek Scott-Grayson and Chaunce Jenkins contributed 45 of the Monarchs' 70 points in the win, shooting a combined 17-25.
- Scott-Grayson and Jenkins are the leading scorers on the squad, averaging 14.9 and 13.8, respectively.
- Mekhi Long holds down the post-action for the Monarchs, averaging 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds. Long has proven his ability to stretch the floor, averaging 41% from 3-point range.
- Old Dominion ranks in the nation's top 50 in free throw attempts (21.2, 38th), fewest turnovers (11.3, 40th), and offensive rebounds (12.4, 41st).
