Dustin Kerns has announced the signing of Bryson Ogletree (Hampton, Ga. / Mundy's Mill High School) to the program.
Bryson Ogletree | 6-4 | 180 | Hampton, Ga. / Mundy's Mill High School
Ogletree comes to The High Country following a stellar high school career. He spent the last two seasons at Mundy's Mill High School in Jonesboro, Ga. after beginning his career at nearby Lovejoy High School. As a senior, the guard averaged a team-high in points, rebounds and assists. He also earned first-team All-Region 3-AAAAA honors.
Kerns on Ogletree: "We are excited about the addition of Bryson Ogletree to the Mountaineer family. He comes from Mundy's Mill High School in Hampton, Georgia where he averaged 19 points and 8 rebounds per game. Bryson has tremendous upside and potential. He is an explosive athletic wing that is also capable of stretching the floor from 3. Bryson comes from an incredible family which includes Randy Ogletree, former standout basketball player at Columbus State University, and his mother Annette Ogletree. Bryson has been prepared well by Coach Dwight Callaway at Mundys Mill High School, and his AAU Coach Steve Bouye from Bouye Elite. Bryson will bring a blue-collar mentality to the gym every day, and he takes pride in being the hardest playing player on the floor. Bryson is a great fit on and off the floor, and we are thrilled to be adding him to our program. Mountaineer nation, please join us in welcoming Bryson Ogletree and his family to the App State family."
The Mountaineers are fresh off their second consecutive year of playing in a national postseason tournament, one year removed from their Sun Belt Championship in 2021.
