App State Heads to Little Rock to Begin Final Road Trip of Season

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- App State men's basketball will begin its final road trip of the season on Wednesday evening at Little Rock at 7:30 p.m. EST on ESPN+.

THE SERIES

• This will be the 17th meeting between the two schools, with the series tied at 8-8.
• App State won the meeting earlier this season in Boone 72-57.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS

• App State defeated South Alabama 69-51 on Saturday in its home regular season finale.
• All four seniors reached double figures in the win on Senior Day. Adrian Delph had 20 points, six rebounds and four assists, Justin Forrest had 13 points and a season-high tying six rebounds, Michael Almonacy added 12 points and three assists and James Lewis Jr. had 10 points and nine rebounds.
• Donovan Gregory had a near triple double with eight points, eight rebounds and a career-high 10 assists. He becomes the first Mountaineer to post a stat line of at least 10 assists, eight rebounds and eight points in the last decade. He is also just the seventh forward in the nation to record the stat line and just one of two players in the Sun Belt to do so.
• App State has held its last five opponents under 70 points.
• In conference play, the are holding opponents to 62.9 points and gave allowed just two opponents to score over 70 points.

SCOUTING THE TROJANS

• Little Rock dropped its road finale at Texas State 68-50 on Saturday.
• D.J. Smith and Myron Gardner paced the Trojans with 10 points each, while Jordan Jefferson added nine points.
• Gardner has scored in double figures in four of his last five games and is averaging 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds during that span.
• Little Rock is shooting 73.5 percent from the free throw line, which sits third in the Sun Belt.
