ATLANTA - App State women's tennis snapped its three-match skid with a 4-1 triumph over Georgia State on Saturday afternoon at the Lifetime Athletic Complex.
The Mountaineers improve to 4-8 overall and 3-3 in league action, while Georgia State falls to 2-14 and 0-7 in conference play.
App State won the doubles point followed by three singles victories en route to its first road win of the season.

Sandra Anglesjö topped Nansi Toskova/Denisa Gheorghe with a 6-1 triumph for their third straight win as the No. 2 tandem. Clinching doubles were the tandem of
María José Zacarias and
Ksenia Aleshina, who downed Ellie Aldrich/Andreea Stanescu in a 6-4 triumph.
Georgia State's lone point on Court No. 6 before App State won the next three contests.
Aleshina continued her solid day with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Angel Carney to give the Apps a 2-1 lead.
Virginia Poggi pushed Apps lead to two points as she defeated Aldrich. Also earning a singles and doubles win was Zacarias thanks to her straight-set victory against Stanescu as the No. 1 i the lineup.
App State aims for a weekend sweep against Georgia Southern tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
