App State fell to Georgia State, 50-48, in the final seconds of Saturday's contest. The Mountaineers came back from an early 14-point deficit to take a 48-47 edge following an 11-0 run late in the fourth period. However, the Panthers scored the final three points of the game. Taylor Hosendove's layup as time expired pushed the Panthers to the win.
Lainey Gosnell scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season.
Pre Stanley scored 12 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists.

- The Chanticleers are third in the league in conference action pulling down 14.3 offensive rebounds per game.

App State is 8-7 all-time against CCU with the Apps boasting a 3-2 mark over the last five games in the series. The Mountaineers won the previous contest in the regular-season finale last season in a thrilling 83-80 double-overtime thriller.
