THE SERIES
- This will be the 11th meeting between the two schools, with the Warhawks leading 6-4.
- The two teams did not play last season and last met in March 3, 2020, with the Mountaineers winning 61-57 in Monroe.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
- App State dropped a 71-55 decision to Louisiana in its conference opener on Thursday.
- Adrian Delph knocked down five 3-pointers to finish with 17 points, while adding seven rebounds. CJ Huntley added 13 points, James Lewis Jr. pulled down eight rebounds (five offensive) and Michael Almonacy dished out a season-high six assists.
- Delph has scored in double figures in 12 of 14 games this season and has poured in 15 points or more seven times. He currently leads the team and sits sixth in the conference, averaging 15.1 points.
- Lewis Jr. has pulled down five or more rebounds in five of his last six games and is averaging 6.2 rebounds during that span. He is also averaging 2.8 offensive rebounds per game this season, which ranks sixth in the Sun Belt.
- The Mountaineers are holding opponents to 29.2 percent shooting on 3-pointers, which is second in the Sun Belt and 52nd nationally.
SCOUTING THE WARHAWKS
- ULM dropped its conference opener at Coastal Carolina 94-64 on Thursday evening.
- In Thursday's contest, Nika Metskhvarishvili poured in 20 points off the bench. Russell Harrison had 14 points, three assists and three steals and Thomas Howell added 12 points and six rebounds.
- Andre Jones leads the team in scoring at 13.1 points. Harrison is right behind at 12.3 points, with Kareem Ozier (11.4 ppg) and Howell (10.3 ppg) also averaging double figure scoring.
- As a team, ULM leads the Sun Belt in assists per game (17.2) and sits second in the conference in scoring offense (79.4) and field goal percentage (.481).
