#AppStateNFL Update, Week 10

BOONE, N.C. — Ronald Blair returning from injury and making his 2021 debut for the New York Jets served as a highlight for App State Football alums in the NFL during Week 10.

Appearing in a regular-season game for the first time in a little more than two years, Blair recorded four tackles while playing 52 percent of the defensive snaps and contributing on 26 percent of the special teams plays.

Blair suffered an ACL injury as a member of the San Francisco 49ers in November 2019, missed the entire 2020 season, joined the Jets in June and was activated from the practice squad injured list in late October. New York's head coach, Robert Saleh, is a former 49ers defensive coordinator.

Shemar Jean-Charles, CB, Green Bay Packers
Jean-Charles made one tackle, appeared on 56 percent of the special teams plays and made a brief defensive appearance in a 17-0 win against Seattle.

Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Cincinnati Bengals
Davis-Gaither will likely miss the remainder of the season after having foot surgery. He suffered the injury during a Nov. 7 loss to Cleveland.

He had 26 tackles, three passes defended and one forced fumble in the first nine games of this season.

Sam Martin, P, Denver Broncos
Martin averaged 53.0 yards (with a net average of 50.8) on four punts in a loss to Philadelphia. His longest punt covered 60 yards.

Colby Gossett, OG, Atlanta Falcons
Gossett appeared in almost one-fourth of the offensive snaps in a loss to Dallas.

Kendall Lamm, OT, Tennessee Titans
Returning from injury, Lamm made a brief appearance on offense and contributed on five special teams plays during a win against New Orleans as Tennessee improved to an AFC-best 8-2.

Darrynton Evans, RB, Tennessee Titans
Evans will miss the remainder of the season after being placed on injured reserve for the second time this year.

Josh Thomas, DB, Buffalo Bills
Thomas is a member of the Bills' practice squad, with Buffalo repeatedly making him a "protected" player based on their desire to not lose him.

Ryan Neuzil, OG, Atlanta Falcons
Neuzil is a member of the Falcons' practice squad.
