April 18 Battle at The Rock Details

BOONE, N.C. – App State will host its "Battle at The Rock" spring football game on April 18 at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
 
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. on that Saturday, and admission will be free. Fans should register for their free ticket by April 14 to be entered for a chance to toss the coin prior to kickoff.
 
App State students will have several special opportunities to engage and win prizes. More details will be communicated with student groups later.
 
PREGAME FANFEST
There will be a Pregame FanFest from 10 a.m. until kickoff in the Mark E. Harrill Basketball Practice Facility beyond the southeast corner of Kidd Brewer Stadium featuring fun family activities, including a Kid Zone with bounce houses and more.

PARKING
Parking for Battle at The Rock will be available at the New River Lot, Blue Ridge Surface Lot, Blue Ridge Deck Roof and Blue Ridge Deck for $15. Parking passes can be purchased at the time of registering for your free tickets. If still available on game day, parking in those lots can be purchased onsite for $20.
 
Free parking will be available at nearby lots such as Peacock, Rivers Street Deck, University Drive, SRC, College Street Deck, Holmes Deck and Greenwood.
 
CONCESSIONS
Concessions will be available in Kidd Brewer Stadium. Fans can enjoy a Family 4 Pack that includes four hot dogs, four drinks, four popcorns and four candy items for $40.
 
All proceeds from Battle at The Rock will go toward the App State Football Support Fund.
 
ADDITIONAL WEEKEND ACTIVITIES
App State Softball and App State Tennis will both have home competitions in Boone during the April 17-19 weekend at their facilities at the App 105 complex (former site of Watauga High School), starting that Friday with tennis at 10 a.m. vs. James Madison and softball at 6 p.m. vs. JMU. The second game of the softball series is scheduled for 3 p.m. on April 18, after "Battle at The Rock," and the Sunday series finale for softball is scheduled for noon on April 19.

2026 SEASON TICKETS
App State will officially open the 2026 football season, head coach Dowell Loggains' second season in Boone, on Sept. 5 at home against Maine. The full 2026 schedule was announced last week.
 
Fans who haven't renewed their season tickets will need to do so by the April 15 deadline. Renew by that deadline to lock in current pricing for both the 2026 and 2027 seasons. Season ticket holders will also be granted early entrance at FanFest in August and have early access to discounted single-game tickets this summer.
 
Those who were not season ticket holders last year can join the 2026 season ticket waitlist.
