Elderkin Adds Joey Treesh to Women's Basketball Staff

BOONE, N.C. - App State women's basketball head coach Angel Elderkin announced the addition of Joey Treesh to the staff.

Treesh's role will be the video coordinator, where he will be overseeing the scout team, filming and scripting games in Sportscode to assist the coaching in scout preparation, and overseeing the managers.

"Joey is a great addition to our program," said coach Elderkin. "He is a hard worker who comes in every day ready to do whatever is asked of him. We're excited to have him here in Boone!"

"I'm very excited for this opportunity to join the women's basketball staff at App State," said Treesh. "I look forward to learning from coach Elderkin and the coaching staff while contributing to a driven program."

Before arriving at App State, Treesh worked with the WNBA's Indiana Fever as a basketball operations assistant. He managed daily equipment, preparing practices/games for home and visiting teams, assisting in drills and workouts, and served as a practice player.

From 2018-20, he was a graduate assistant with the women's basketball team at Henderson State. He designed team graphics and led workouts for the guards while preparing food and coordinating the team's travel.

He also served as a varsity girl's assistant coach at Edgewood High School in Indiana during the 2020-21 campaign.

A native of Garrett, Ind., Treesh graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in sports administration from Henderson State University.
