Dear Softball - Taylor Thorp

Dear Softball,
           
Words can't express what you mean to me. You have taught me countless life lessons, you brought me the best of friends and the fondest memories. You have shown me not to take the game for granted multiple times. From the cuts and bruises, the blood, sweat and tears, the diving plays, the slumps and clutch hits, the championship wins, and the hardest losses, you have given me something to be forever grateful for. You have taught me perseverance through injuries and you've shown me what a family truly is. I will never take the long practices, the early morning workouts, and late-night bus rides and tarp pulls for granted ever again. I will leave it all out on the field every single day for the next four years; keep me accountable with that.

Dear Softball, keep me humble and don't let me forget who I am and Who I belong to. I am, and will always be, forever grateful to you.
