BOONE, N.C. - App State women's tennis rolled to a 6-1 victory against UNCG on Tuesday afternoon at the Deer Valley Racquet Club.
The Mountaineers move to .500 on the season with a 2-2 mark while UNCG drops to 1-4.
Appalachian rolled to its 10th straight home win dating back to last season.
App State dominated doubles before clinching the triumph with five singles victories.

Virginia Poggi got things started for the Black and Gold with a 6-2 victory against Sophia Adams/Eugenia Camacho, giving the tandem their first win of the season as a duo. Clinching doubles and the 1-0 lead for App were
Kate Earnhardt and
Selina Atay, who also won their first contest together following their 6-2 triumph over Brianna Gomez/Tayah Cross on Court No. 3.
The top three courts took care of business to clinch the match. Pisareva stayed unblemished in singles action with a 6-1, 6-3 defeat over Erika Barquero, moving to 4-0.
Earnhardt won her second straight match after she defeated her counterpart on Court No. 2 in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. Clinching the match was
Cassie McLay, earning a hard-fought three-set win over Hanna Giddings. McLay won the first set (6-4), fell in the second frame (3-6) and then pulled out the match, 6-4.
María José Zacarias continued the momentum with her 6-2, 6-1 victory over Camacho. Poggi in her match fell on No. 4, while Atay finished the day on a high note with her first collegiate triumph in straight sets as the No. 6 in the lineup.
The trio of Atay, Earnhardt and Pisareva all picked up a singles and doubles victory, while App State is 15-1 over the last 16 matches when winning the doubles point.
App State goes for its third straight win on Saturday against UNCW on the road at 1 p.m.
