BOONE, N.C. – Following a historic 2025 season that featured a program-record 17 wins, a 10-match winning streak and eight consecutive Sun Belt victories, App State Tennis unveiled its 2026 spring schedule on Wednesday.
The Mountaineers enter the season following a dominant fall campaign from No. 1 standout Savannah Dada-Mascoll. Dada-Mascoll defeated nine ranked opponents to climb to No. 5 in the national singles rankings and secured All-American status as an NCAA Championships quarterfinalist.
Building on last year's success, which included a program-high nine Sun Belt wins, the Mountaineers will play a 22-match slate featuring seven contests at the App State Tennis Courts at the Appalachian 105 Complex. App State will face off against six Sun Belt opponents this spring, hosting two against Marshall and James Madison.
"I am really looking forward to our upcoming season," said third year head coach Hannah Fetters. Our team has been working hard, and we have a lot of motivation after finishing a successful fall season. We have a strong schedule lined up for the spring with high goals set for ourselves."
App State opens the spring season on the road against a pair of ACC opponents, beginning with North Carolina on Jan. 17 followed by a trip to Virginia Tech on Jan. 24.The Mountaineers then return to the High Country for a three-match homestand, facing VCU in the home opener on Jan. 25, followed by UNC Asheville on Jan. 30 and Davidson on Feb. 1.
After a brief road trip to ETSU on Feb. 5, the Mountaineers return home to host Western Carolina on Feb. 7. The team then hits the road for back-to-back matches against Kennesaw State (Feb. 13) and Mercer (Feb. 14) before heading back to Boone to host Austin Peay on Feb. 21.
App State will begin a five-match road swing to close out February, starting with ACC opponent Wake Forest on Feb. 22. The Mountaineers then travel to Texas to face Tarleton State (Feb. 27) and UT Arlington (Feb. 28) before heading to Jacksonville, Fla., to take on Lipscomb (March 13) and North Florida (March 15) on the University of North Florida's campus.
The Mountaineers will return to Boone to open Sun Belt play against Marshall on March 21. Following the conference opener, App State embarks on a four-match road trip, visiting Old Dominion (March 27), East Carolina (March 29), Georgia Southern (April 3) and Coastal Carolina (April 4).
App State rounds out its regular-season home schedule with a match against James Madison on April 17, before traveling to Atlanta to face Georgia State on April 19 to conclude the regular season.
The Sun Belt Championship is scheduled to begin on April 22 in Rome, Ga.
