Akeem Davis-Gaither achieved another milestone in Week 5 of the NFL season.
A rookie linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals, Davis-Gaither made his first NFL start and recorded four tackles while facing reigning MVP Lamar Jackson in a 27-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Davis-Gaither also broke up one pass as he played a career-high 50 defensive snaps — or 79 percent of them. He also participated in 73 percent of the special teams reps.
According to PFF, Davis-Gaither entered the weekend with the fifth-best grade among rookie linebackers in the NFL.
Darrynton Evans, RB, Tennessee Titans
Playing on Tuesday night, Evans had an impressive 9-yard run as part of a two-carry, 12-yard effort before he left the first half of a 42-16 win against the Buffalo Bills with a hamstring injury.
Tennessee improved to 4-0 with the victory.
Josh Thomas, S, Buffalo Bills
Tuesday night was another game involving two Mountaineers, and Thomas remained on the Bills' practice squad.
Daniel Kilgore, C, Kansas City Chiefs
Kilgore officially made his debut with the Kansas City Chiefs, participating in four special teams snaps during a 30-24 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Kilgore has been active for every game this season.
Kendall Lamm, OT, Cleveland Browns
Lamm participated in one offensive snap and six special teams plays as the Browns improved to 4-1 with a 32-23 win against Indianapolis.
Doug Middleton, S, Jacksonville Jaguars
Middleton was a protected practice squad player in the Jaguars' 30-14 loss to Houston.
Tae Hayes, CB, Miami Dolphins
Hayes was a protected practice squad player as the Dolphins won 43-17 against San Francisco.
Sam Martin, P, Denver Broncos
The Broncos' game against New England was moved forward to Week 6, this Sunday.
Ronald Blair, DE, San Francisco 49ers
Blair is beginning the 2020 season on the 49ers' reserve/PUP list as he works to return from a 2019 injury. He is eligible to return in Week 7.
Colby Gossett, OG, Cleveland Browns
Gossett, a member of the Browns' practice squad, has opted out of this season.
