BOONE, N.C. -- App State men's basketball returns home after a brief two-game road trip, welcoming Arkansas State to the Holmes Center at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The contest can be seen on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Appalachian Sports Network from Learfield IMG College.

single game tickets for the 2019-20 season are on sale and can be purchased by calling the App State ticket office at 828-262-2079.
THROWBACK THURSDAY
Fans are invited to wear their favorite throwback jersey to Thursday's contest. A silent auction will be held on the concourse during the game for throwback App State gear. Halftime will also feature a faculty/staff vs. student game.
ALCOHOL
Plans for alcohol sales at select men's and women's 2019-20 home games include:
- Craft beer, domestic beer and wine will be sold on the concourse near Section 12.
- Service begins when doors open one hour prior to tipoff and ends at the conclusion of the third quarter for women's games and at the under 12:00 media timeout of the second half for men's games.
- All patrons will be required to produce valid identification, which will be checked at the point of sale during each transaction.
- Per state law, patrons 21 years of age or older will be permitted to purchase a maximum of one alcoholic beverage per transaction with valid identification.
- Patrons will not be permitted to leave the Holmes Convocation Center with alcohol purchased within the venue.
- Law enforcement and contracted security staff will monitor the concourse and seating areas for underage drinking, beverage pass-offs and problematic patrons or situations.
- Public service announcements about drinking responsibly will be shown on the video board and announced via the arena's public address system.
- Alcohol will be served at all men's basketball home games for the remainder of the season.
THE SERIES
- ​​​This will be the 12th meeting between the two schools, with the Red Wolves leading 6-5
- Arkansas State has won four straight in the series, including an 82-81 overtime in Jonesboro last season
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
- App State stands at 9-9 on the season and 3-4 in Sun Belt play after falling at Texas State on Saturday
- In Saturday's game, Justin Forrest tallied a game-high 23 points, while Hunter Seacat chipped in with nine points. James Lewis Jr. grabbed a team-best seven rebounds
- As a team, the Mountaineers rank second in the Sun Belt in opponent scoring average (65.9 ppg) and opponent three-point percentage (.319). App State has held 14 opponents under .400 shooting from deep this season and eight teams under .300 from beyond the arc
- Forrest has reached double figures in 11 consecutive games and ranks third in the league in scoring at 18.4 points...In seven Sun Belt games, Forrest is averaging 21.6 points, which leads the conference
- In Sun Belt play, Seacat has pulled down five or more rebounds in five contests and is averaging 6.7 points on 59.4 percent shooting and 6.0 rebounds
SCOUTING THE RED WOLVES
- Arkansas State improved to 12-6 overall and 4-3 in league play with a 76-68 overtime win over Troy on Saturday
- In the win on Saturday, Marquis Eaton had 24 points, five assists and five steals. Caleb Fields added 17 points and Melo Eggleston had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds
- Four players are averaging double figure scoring for the Red Wolves in Fields (11.6 ppg), Canberk Kus (11.3 ppg), Eaton (11.1 ppg) and Eggleston (10.4 ppg)
- Fields is the only Division I freshman (as of Jan. 14) to average at least 11.0 points (11.6), 3.0 rebounds (3.4), 3.0 assists (3.6) per game and fewer than 2.0 (1.9) turnovers per game
