Taylor Smith was named field MVP to lead App State women's track & field at the ETSU Track & Field Invitational.
The meet was unscored.
In all, the Mountaineers won six events in the meet, highlighted by two victories by Smith.
Smith won the long jump with a mark of 19-8.75 (6.01m). Her distance is tied for fifth place in program history.
Nevaeh Haddock finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 18-10.00 (5.74m).
Smith also crossed first in the 60-meter dash in 7.71 seconds and
Jessica Dixon crossed first in the 200-meter dash in 25.03 seconds.
Dixon also teamed with
Peighton Simmons,
Samara Gibson and
Jelonnie Smith for a first place finish in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:53.40
The Mountaineers placed three in the top-five in the 5,000-meter run.
Lila Peters crossed first overall in 18:18.55,
Natalie Richardson finished second with a PR time of 18:28.80 and
Samantha Kolor placed fifth with a time of 18:59.43.
App State also took the top-four in the 3,000-meter run with
Kylee Frady finishing first in 10:28.58,
Sarah Venable placing second in10:36.13,
Annika Merkh crossing third in 10:45.29 and
Sarah Sandreuter finishing fourth with a time of 10:47.03. All four times represent PR's for all four of the runners.
Kayla Carson placed fifth in the high jump with a mark of 5-1.00 (1.55m), while
Celia Agee and
Silvanna Curtain finished in a tie for fifth place in the pole vault with a mark of 10-8.00 (3.25m).
App State will compete again at the JDL January College Kick-Off in Winston-Salem on Jan. 19.
