"It's a blessing to have coached Jenny over the past two years," head coach Shelly Hoerner said. "She is a unique person that is so vibrant every day. Her work ethic brings out the best in everyone to work even harder. Jenny's discipline and commitment to being the best she can be is what I admire most about her. She has made an impact within our program, the athletic department and the App community. I know Jenny will be a success in the next chapter of her life and I look forward to watching that."

We sat down with Jenny to find out exactly what her favorite moments were during her time at Appalachian.

Q: What's your favorite App moment as a player/student?

Jenny: Hitting in the go ahead run and getting back to get the win over Georgia State this year!

Q: Best road trip memory?

J: Freshman orientation on the bus, I had to sing Pray for you and it was so funny!

Q: Favorite Coach Quote?

J: when she looks me dead in the eyes and says "Seriously Jenny Dodd?" Happens like once a week!

Q: Favorite/most memorable game?

J: Hitting the walk off against ULM last season to clinch our first Sun Belt series win. It still gives me chills.

Q: What are you going to miss most?

J: The team by far. They have become my sisters over the past four years. They have been my best friends my support system when I needed them the most. I will miss them like crazy.

Q: What's the one thing you will take away from App?

J: Self discipline and just mental toughness. Being a D1 athlete isn't easy, especially dealing with school and life. App taught me how to work hard and push myself; its definitely made me physically and mentally stronger in all aspects of my life and to do the little things right.

Q: Final message to team?

J: NEVER stop fighting. You girls were made for this; you deserve to be here and this is only the beginning. You all have amazing careers ahead of you so work hard and have fun! Let's go make history!!!
