CHARLOTTE, N.C. – 
Izzy Evely and 
Phylissa Greeley recorded top-10 times in program history in the 3,000-meter run and 1,500-meter run respectively to lead Appalachian State women's track & field at the outdoor season opening 49er Classic.
 
Greeley crossed fourth in a field of over 100 runners in the 1,500-meter run in a PR time of 4:31.28. Her time now ranks sixth all-time in the event in program history.
 
Evely posted a time of 10:04.48 to finish sixth. Her time now ranks as the seventh fastest time in the event in program history in the 3,000-meter run.
 
Victoria Wilform captured the open section of the high jump, clearing 5-2.25 (1.58m).
 
The Black and Gold placed two in the top-10 of the 5,000-meter run invitational. 
Katelyn Butler placed fifth in 17:36.37 and 
Megan Scannell was eighth with a PR time of 17:42.10.
 
The Mountaineers also saw success in the 10,000-meter run, seeing three place in the top-10. 
Emily Fedders crossed second with a time of 37:50.05. 
Natalie Richardson was eighth in 39:30.63 and 
Erin Jameson was right behind in ninth with a time of 39:31.72.
 
In the open pole vault, 
Casey Meinert recorded a third-place finish, clearing 10-6.00 (3.20m). 
Silvanna Curtain finished in a tie for fourth with a mark of 10-0.00 (3.05m).
 
The Mountaineers posted two top-five finishes in relay events. The 4x800-meter relay team of 
Sarah Venable, 
Ann Mosely Whitsett, 
Caroline Grier and 
Annika Merkh placed third in 9:47.41, while the 4x100-meter relay tandem of 
Erin Morrison, 
Samara Gibson, 
Jessica Dixon and 
Jelonnie Smith. finished fourth in 47.39 seconds. Smith also posted a top-10 finish in the 400-meter run in 57.03 seconds.
 
In the hammer, 
Ashley Muschiatti finished eight with a mark of 157-11 (48.14m), while 
Madison McCoy notched eighth place finish in the discus, covering 132-3 (40.33m).
 
App State will return to action next weekend at the Winthrop Invitational on Mar. 22 and Mar. 23.
