BOONE, N.C. — App State senior offensive tackle
Victor Johnson has accepted an invitation to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
The all-star game will be held Jan. 18 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif.
A four-year starter at left tackle, Johnson has helped App State rank in the top 25 nationally in both rushing yards per game and fewest sacks allowed during each of those four seasons. This year, the Mountaineers are 18th in rushing yards per game (226.0) and No. 8 in fewest sacks allowed (14).
Johnson has played in 50 career games and made 49 starts. He is expected to make his 50th career start Saturday, when App State plays host to Louisiana in the Sun Belt Championship Game at noon.
