BOONE, N.C. — Following three weekends of tournament competition, App State Wrestling begins its 2019-20 dual meet schedule with a visit to No. 18 North Carolina on Sunday.

HERE on ACC Network Extra.
App State's highest-ranked individual is senior
Matt Zovistoski, who has moved up from 149 pounds to 157 this year. Ranked 13th in his weight class by InterMat and 18th by FloWrestling, Zovistoski made a big jump thanks to his showing at the Keystone Classic, where he won a 3-2 decision against eighth-ranked Anthony Artalona of Penn in the semifinal round before reaching a Tiebreaker 2 period and dropping a 6-3 overtime decision against sixth-ranked Jesse Dellavecchia in the final. Zovistoski advanced to the semifinal round with a 10-3 decision against 25th-ranked Parker Kropman of Drexel.
Senior heavyweight
Cary Miller is also a consensus Top 25 wrestler, highlighted by a ranking of No. 17 by InterMat, while
Jonathan Millner (12-1 at 149 pounds) and
Codi Russell (10-5 at 133 pounds) are included in some rankings. The Mountaineers could have first-time dual starters at half of the 10 weight classes.
North Carolina's dual results to date are a 19-17 win at Michigan, a 22-11 loss a Stanford and a 22-15 win against Chattanooga.
A.C. Headlee (157 pounds), Kennedy Monday (165 pounds) and Andrew Gunning (heavyweight) have been ranked in the top 20 this season.
Headlee leads active Tar Heels with 49 career wins, followed by Josh McClure (also 157 pounds) with 38 and Monday with 35. McClure leads UNC with a 10-3 record this season, and Sawyer Davidson (also 165 pounds) is 9-3.
