BOONE, N.C. — App State wrestlers Tomas Brooker and Anthony Conetta have been named 2026 NWCA Division I Scholar All-Americans.
In the last seven seasons, head coach JohnMark Bentley's program has totaled 27 NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have a 3.0 GPA and be an NCAA All-American, have a 3.2 GPA and be an NCAA Championships qualifier or have a 3.5 GPA and either have represented the team at the conference tournament or won 60 percent of their matches during the season (with at least 15 matches).
A redshirt sophomore, Brooker won his second SoCon Championships tournament title at 184 pounds last month, part of a 26-10 season that pushed him to 51 career victories. He is an exercise science major.
A redshirt junior, Conetta finished as the SoCon runner-up at 165 pounds and received the league's Pinnacle Award as the student-athlete with the highest GPA on the championship-winning team. A health and physical education (K-12) major, he went 25-11 this past season.
The 2025-26 season was presented by Hungry Howie's and Penn Station.
