Men's Basketball Heads to ETSU for Road Tilt on Tuesday

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- App State men's basketball will return to the road on Tuesday evening at East Tennessee State. Tip is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+ and the Appalachian Sports Network from IMG Learfield College.

THE SERIES

• This will be the 126th meeting all-time between the two schools, with the Buccaneers hold a 79-46 edge in the series
• The two teams last met during the 2011-12 season, with ETSU winning 81-68 in Johnson City and 65-48 in Boone

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS

• App State improved to 4-3 on the season with a 64-55 victory over Charlotte on Thursday
• O'Showen Williams tallied a season-high 18 points, while adding a season-best six rebounds and three steals. Adrian Delph added 15 points and eight rebounds and Isaac Johnson recorded nine points and six rebounds
• The Mountaineers have now held their last six opponents to 62 points or less (Ferrum, 56; ECU, 62; Montana State, 59; Tennessee Tech, 47; UNCG, 55; Charlotte, 55). The Black and Gold are limiting opponents to just 59.0 points, which leads the Sun Belt
• Johnson has pulled down six or more rebounds in all seven contests this season. He currently has 800 rebounds in his career and sits fourth in the league in rebounding average at 7.9 rpg

SCOUTING THE BUCCANEERS

• ETSU improved to 5-1 with a pair of victories over Delaware Stats and Southern Utah over the weekend in the Maui Invitational Mainland games
• In a 70-58 win over Southern Utah on Sunday, Lucas N'Guessan tallied a team-high 18 points, while adding six rebounds. Patrick Good drained five three-pointers to finish with 16 points
• A trio of players are averaging double figures in Bo Hodges (15.0 ppg), Tray Boyd (11.8 ppg) and Good (10.2 ppg). Hodges is also shooting 59.0 percent from the field (second on team) and pulling down a team leading 5.8 rebounds
• ETSU is ranked second in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll that was released on Nov. 18

App State will return to the High Country for its final non-conference homes contest on Dec. 3 against St. Andrews. Tip is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+ and the Appalachian Sports Network from IMG Learfield College.
