BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State recently announced the launch of its Each 1 Reach 1 effort as it urges each current member of the Yosef Club to find one non-member who will agree to play an important role in supporting App State by joining the Yosef Club.
"We are so appreciative of the support from our current Yosef Club members and the passion they have for App State. At Appalachian State, we strive to maintain comprehensive excellence throughout our program," Director of Athletics
Doug Gillin said. "Currently, we are only funding 50 percent of our scholarship needs through the Yosef Club. To continue to attract the best student-athletes, coaches and staff and give them the best tools to succeed on and off the field, we need even more support, so we're asking for your help. We all know people and have friends who love App State the same way we do. Let's get them involved and help them Make An Impact that's even greater."
To join the Yosef Club, it's as easy as visiting the "Give Now" tab at AppStateSports.com, calling 828-262-8075, emailing
yosefclub@appstate.edu or asking to receive a Yosef Club brochure in the mail. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card, and there will be ways for a new member to recognize the current member who referred them.
In just the last few weeks, we've been overwhelmed by the pride so many of our alums and Yosef Club members have expressed in App State and the effort they've made to spread the word about the critical role that the Yosef Club plays.
By having each member find just one additional person to join, we plan to double our membership by Dec. 31. Contributions of any amount are crucial to the success and future of App State Athletics. Season tickets are also a great way to Make An Impact.
As was evident at Penn State, our football team and all of our sports are capable of competing at a high level. App State had 62 all-conference selections last year, put a combined 297 student-athletes and support students on the university's honor roll in last year's fall and spring semesters and set a school record by having our student-athletes post a 3.12 cumulative GPA for 2017-18. The year ended with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 12th consecutive semester.
The future is incredibly bright. Let's continue to Make An Impact!!
