BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State Athletics is excited to announce the establishment of an "Inside the Huddle" football luncheon that will give fans opportunities to interact with App State coaches and student-athletes on seven Tuesdays during the 2018 football season.
Catered by Casa Rustica, a Boone-based Italian restaurant, each noon luncheon will be held at the Fairway Cafe at the Boone Golf Club & Venue, with a price of $10 at the door or $60 for a season pass that covers all seven dates. "Inside the Huddle" will begin Aug. 28 — four days before the Mountaineers open the season at Penn State — and continue with dates on the Tuesdays before each of App State's six home games. Those luncheon dates are Sept. 11, Sept. 18, Sept. 25, Oct. 16, Nov. 13 and Nov. 20.
Appalachian State alums Harrison Battle and

Scott Satterfield, other members of the Mountaineers' coaching staff and App State student-athletes appear to talk about the previous week's game, the team's upcoming matchup and other football-related items.
"Inside the Huddle" will join the live weekly recording of the "Mountaineer Talk" radio show as another way for fans to connect with and gain behind-the-scenes insight into the App State program, which has won two straight Sun Belt Conference titles while posting the nation's fifth-best record over the last 45 games.
