BOONE, N.C. — Nearly two months after opening its Southern Conference schedule with a shutout of Davidson, Appalachian State's wrestling team returns to league competition with a dual meet at Gardner-Webb on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
App State (3-3, 1-0 SoCon) and Gardner-Webb (1-4, 1-0 SoCon) are two of the three league members with no league losses to this point, as Chattanooga is currently 2-0 in the SoCon.
Since winning 45-0 at home against Davidson on Nov. 11, the Mountaineers have had dual meets against No. 24 North Carolina, Ohio, No. 5 NC State and Oklahoma (No. 20 at the time). The Runnin' Bulldogs opened their SoCon schedule with a 26-16 victory at VMI on Dec. 8.
