BOONE, N.C. -- Appalachian State men's basketball will take part in the 2018 Gildan Charleston Classic.

The tournament will take place on Thursday, November 15 through Sunday, November 18 at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C.

The eight team field will feature the Mountaineers, as well as Alabama, Ball State, Davidson, Northeastern, Purdue, Virginia Tech and Wichita State.

The family friendly tournament offers teams a week of practice, play and experiences around the city of Charleston.

The Gildan Charleston Classic is one of 11 college basketball events that is owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN.
