App State fans, we heard you.
Last year, the Appalachian State Athletic Department asked you, the fans, to give us your input on ways we could improve your game day experience at Kidd Brewer Stadium. During the offseason, the survey results were compiled and we took your advice to heart and hope you'll like our improvements during the 2016 season as the Mountaineers strive for another bowl win and a Sun Belt Championship.
Leading up to the kickoff of the 2016 home opener (Old Dominion, Sept. 10), we'll reveal the upgrades and additions we've made in and around Kidd Brewer Stadium to make your experience more enjoyable.
Doug Gillin, Appalachian State Director of Athletics
"At the conclusion of last football season, we sent out a survey asking all of our fans to tell us what was important to them when they visited The Rock. We had an amazing response to our survey. We have been working hard over the past six months to identify opportunities to fulfill our fans requests. Over the next two weeks we will be announcing changes that we will be making, based on the input from our fans. We are always striving to create the best atmosphere and experience for our students, student-athletes, and fans.”
Fan Survey Improvement No. 3 – Merchandise
Who doesn't love more App State Nike gear to wear to the game?
We heard from a number of you in our fan survey that App State merchandise wasn't readily available in and around Kidd Brewer Stadium on game day. We hope we've changed that. For the 2016 season, we're adding an additional souvenir stand outside of The Rock so you can shop before the big game. The stand will be located near the ticket plaza and will have everything you need for the game.
Want what the coaches wear? We've added an expanded selection of merchandise to include Nike sideline gear. We've also added larger quantities of shirts and larger sizes to make sure size selections are more readily available.
Make plans to get your new App State gear before you go into Kidd Brewer for gameday and cheer on your Apps to another win!

MIAMI GAME – We're aware that more needs to be done when the Hurricanes visit Boone (Sept. 17) in front of what is expected to be a record crowd at The Rock. Every upgrade we reveal over the coming weeks will be expanded further for the Miami game.
