App State fans, we heard you.
Last year, the Appalachian State Athletic Department asked you, the fans, to give us your input on ways we could improve your game day experience at Kidd Brewer Stadium. During the offseason, the survey results were compiled and we took your advice to heart and hope you'll like our improvements during the 2016 season as the Mountaineers strive for another bowl win and a Sun Belt Championship.
Leading up to the kickoff of the 2016 home opener (Old Dominion, Sept. 10), we'll reveal the upgrades and additions we've made in and around Kidd Brewer Stadium to make your experience more enjoyable.
Doug Gillin, Appalachian State Director of Athletics
"At the conclusion of last football season, we sent out a survey asking all of our fans to tell us what was important to them when they visited The Rock. We had an amazing response to our survey. We have been working hard over the past six months to identify opportunities to fulfill our fans requests. Over the next two weeks we will be announcing changes that we will be making, based on the input from our fans. We are always striving to create the best atmosphere and experience for our students, student-athletes, and fans.”
Fan Survey Improvement No. 1 – Concessions and Vendors
You wanted more concessions and vendors. We've added them. We're nearly doubling the number of concession stands adding Pepsi Beverage and Snack Carts and additional vendors around the stadium to make food and beverages more accessible from all areas of Kidd Brewer Stadium.
We're proud to have partnered with Pepsi to provide expanded coverage and availability throughout Kidd Brewer. In addition to Pepsi Beverage and Snack Carts, Papa Johns Pizza, Southeast Food Vendors, The Farmer's Wife Apple Pies, Appalachia Cookie Co. and Woodlands BBQ are all coming back to The Rock for the 2016 season.
