BOONE, N.C. — Arrangements have been finalized for this week's popular Appalachian State University athletics poster giveaway events.
On Tuesday, the Appalachian State poster giveaway tour will be in Winston-Salem. From 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., the Mountaineer contingent will be on hand at the Downtown Deli (1 West 4th Street). From 6-8 p.m., the Black and Gold crew will be at Finnegan's Wake (620 North Trade Street) as part of the Appalachian Alumni Association Forsyth Chapter's APPy Hour Networking Social. Thursday's poster giveaway event will coincide with Appalachian Alumni Night with the Charlotte Knights at beautiful BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte. Update: A Poster Day event has been added for lunchtime in Charlotte on Thursday - Vida Cantina (EpiCenter) from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Closer to Boone, App State athletics will also be giving away 2015 Mountaineer football posters on Wednesday in Lenoir (Junior Mountaineer Kids Club Wendy's Wednesday — noon-2 p.m.) and on Friday in Blowing Rock (Music On The Lawn, The Inn at Ragged Gardens — 5:30-7:30 p.m.).
In addition to receiving a complimentary football poster, fans will also have the opportunity to register for the Junior Mountaineer Kids Club and Football 101/201 and purchase 2015 Appalachian State football season tickets at each stop of the poster giveaway tour. Appalachian State athletics staff members will be in attendance at each stop and Mountaineer coaches and/or student-athletes will be on hand for pictures and autographs at selected events.
