CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's track and field wrapped up day one of competition on Friday at the Charlotte Invitational.
Ellsworth Parham earned a personal best in the javelin throw on Friday, placing fourth with a mark of 185-11.
Appalachian also recorded two top-five spots in the hammer throw as Nathan Milch (157-1) and Mason Lasater (155-5) finished fourth and fifth.
Evan Georges finished third in the 1,500 meter run on the first day of competition and tallied a new personal best time of 3:55.94.
Evan Laratta placed fourth in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:27.29 for a new personal best.
The Charlotte Invite will resume tomorrow at 11 a.m.
