DONATE TODAY!
In 2014, Appalachian State men's basketball junior Michael Obacha collected over 700 pairs of shoes to distribute to children in his native country of Nigeria.
Through a partnership with A2S-Access to Success, Michael was able to distribute the shoes to impoverished children last summer. While in Nigeria, he noticed that many children lacked basic school supplies.
This year, Michael is excited to announce the start of the Michael Obacha School Supply Drive, which aims to provide 100 children with school supplies for the year.
For just $40, YOU can supply a Success Pack to a child in need. Each success pack contains a backpack, pens, pencils, paper and other essential school supplies. Fans can donate online by clicking HERE.
Thanks to YOUR generosity last year, we also have many, many shoes in storage that can also help a child in need. For $5 a pair, you can help cover the cost of shipping the shoes to Nigeria!
It is our goal to raise $5,000 ($4,000 for Success Packs and $1,000 to ship shoes) in order to provide children in Nigeria with school supplies and shoes.
Join us for No. 2 Night on March 5 and March 7 as we look to make a difference in the lives of children halfway around the world.
While we are happy to accept donations of school supplies, we strongly encourage you to donate your financial resources to the cause. This allows us the flexibility to purchase the supplies directly in Nigeria and bypass expensive international shipping charges - making YOUR contribution go further in the long run!
