Box Score STATESBORO, Ga. – Early mistakes and a poor shooting night proved too much to overcome as Appalachian State University men's basketball saw its four-game winning streak come to an end in an 83-46 loss to Sun Belt Conference leader Georgia Southern on Thursday at Hanner Fieldhouse.
The Mountaineers (8-11, 5-5 Sun Belt) committed 11 first-half turnovers and shot just 23.1 percent (6-of-26) through the first 20 minutes as the Eagles (14-4, 7-2) built an early double-digit lead and rolled to their third-straight win.
