Women's Soccer Hits Road to the State of Arkansas

Appalachian State University women's soccer will travel to UALR on Friday, Sept. 25 for the first Sun Belt Conference contest of the season. Kick off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Then on Sunday, the Mountaineers will travel to Sun Belt foe Arkansas State for a 2 p.m. ET kick off.

• Bre Ilkuf and Sara Cavanagh have split time in net this season. Ilkuf carries a 0.20 goals against average with 13 saves, while posting a 4-0 record. Cavanagh is 5-0 and has made five saves while not allowing a goal.

• Arkansas State currently has a 3-6 overall mark this season and will play Texas State on Friday prior to the matchup with the Mountaineers on Sunday.
• Samhia Simao leads the Red Wolves with seven points this season having scored two goals and tallied three assists.
• Jenna Duerst has also tallied two goals, while collecting two assists this season.
• Sara Wicks has received most of the minutes in net for the Red Wolves and is 2-4 with a 2.19 goals against average. Wicks has made 30 saves and allowed 10 goals.

• For the week of Aug. 28, Merlin Beckwith earned Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week. Beckwith netted two goals in a 3-1 win against Elon in the season opener for the Mountaineers.

• The 4-3 overtime victory against Liberty on Sunday, Aug. 31 was the 150th all-time win in women's soccer program history.
